DABEV5P refers to a specific power converter topology that utilizes a dual active bridge configuration with a power capacity of 5 kilowatts. The dual active bridge is a power electronics converter that allows for bidirectional power flow and provides high-efficiency conversion in various applications such as electric vehicle charging, renewable energy systems, and energy storage.
The DABEV5P converter consists of two independent active bridges, each comprising power semiconductor switches (such as MOSFETs) and associated control circuitry. The active bridges are connected by a high-frequency isolation transformer.
The DAB converter consists of two bridges, one on the input side and one on the output side, which are connected through a high-frequency transformer. The circuit consists of 4 same type isolated gate Drivers (DrvMX203/DrvISO202) per single leg of H-Bridge, One High frequency step down transformer, one inductor, one TMS320f28379d Micro controller. First H-Bridge converts DC to AC and second H Bridge converts AC to controlled DC.
